Cloudscapes
I just released my latest photo series. “Cloudscapes” is my two-year project of clouds presented in monochrome format.
One of the main goals was to get a mountain-like look and feeling for the clouds. Most of the images are vertical panoramas (vertoramas) from two or more images.

Cloud Mountain
I’ve have had this vision of mountain looking clouds with starry sky background for a while now.
Since it’s pretty uncommon to see this kind of combination here in Finland I decided to create the image from two different exposures using Photoshop.
Editing consists mostly of brushing the clouds over the starry sky using layer masks.
The blue toning was done beforehand in Lightroom.
Shot of clouds is from last week and the one with milky way / stars is from last fall.
